Overview

This 3-day safari takes you through two of Kenya’s most scenic Great Rift Valley destinations. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake teeming with hippos, over 350 bird species, and diverse wildlife including buffalo and giraffe on its shores. Lake Nakuru National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its flamingo flocks, black and white rhinos, and Rothschild’s giraffes. This tour combines boat rides on Naivasha with game drives in Nakuru for a rich and varied Kenya safari experience.

Day 1 Day 1

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

Depart Nairobi and drive to Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley. Afternoon boat ride on the lake to spot hippos, fish eagles, and hundreds of bird species. Optional guided nature walk on Crescent Island. Dinner and overnight at lakeside lodge.

Day 2 Day 2

Day 2: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

Morning walk around the lake or optional Hell's Gate cycling before driving to Lake Nakuru. Afternoon game drive in Nakuru searching for rhinos, flamingos, lions, leopards, and the prolific birdlife around the alkaline lake. Dinner and overnight at lodge.

Day 3 Day 3

Day 3: Lake Nakuru Game Drive – Return to Nairobi

Early morning game drive to spot rhinos and tree-climbing lions. After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. Optional stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint.
