6 Days Accessible Fly-In Safari — Masai Mara

Overview

Our 6 Days Accessible Fly-In Safari is designed for travellers who want to experience the magic of Kenya’s Masai Mara without long road transfers. From the moment you land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, every detail is handled with comfort and accessibility in mind — adapted transfers, scheduled bush flights aboard wheelchair-friendly aircraft, modified open-roof safari vehicles with hydraulic ramps and secure anchoring, and pre-inspected accessible lodges with roll-in showers and step-free pathways. This is a premium, inclusive Kenya safari that puts you face-to-face with the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino — in one of the world’s greatest wildlife destinations, without compromise.

Day 1 Day 1

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi — Accessible Transfer

Welcome to Kenya. Our team meets you at JKIA with an accessible airport transfer vehicle equipped with a hydraulic ramp and secure wheelchair anchoring. Transfer to your wheelchair-friendly Nairobi hotel for rest and a relaxed welcome dinner. Our safari coordinator visits this evening to walk through your itinerary, vehicle setup and any personal accessibility requirements.

Day 2 Day 2

Day 2: Fly Nairobi → Masai Mara — Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast, a short accessible road transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled bush flight to the Masai Mara (approximately 45 minutes). On landing at the airstrip, transfer directly into our modified accessible safari Land Cruiser. Enjoy a gentle introductory afternoon game drive across the open plains as you make your way to camp — keeping an eye out for elephant breeding herds, giraffe and your first lions.

Overnight: Lodge · Mara Serena Safari Lodge (Accessible Room)
Day 3 Day 3

Day 3: Full Day Big Five Game Drive

A full day exploring the Masai Mara from the comfort of your accessible 4×4. Morning is prime time for big cats; we'll track lion prides, search for elusive leopard in the riverine forest, and follow cheetah hunting on the open savannah. A relaxed bush picnic lunch is set up at an accessible scenic point. Afternoon game drive focuses on elephant, buffalo and the chance of black rhino. Return to the lodge for sundowners.

Day 4: Mara River & Optional Cultural Visit

Morning drive to the famous Mara River — a chance to see resident hippo pods, large crocodiles, and (in season) the world-famous wildebeest crossings. After lunch at the lodge, an optional visit to a partner Maasai community known for inclusive cultural visits with step-free access and seated demonstrations. Late afternoon game drive en route back to camp.

Day 5 Day 5

Day 5: Sunrise Game Drive & Accessible Bush Breakfast

An early start for the soft light photographers love. Our guide brings you close to predator activity at sunrise. Mid-morning, return to a fully accessible bush breakfast setup. The day continues with a relaxed schedule — choose between a second game drive, lodge leisure, or an in-room spa treatment.
